BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ'S
Can I bring along my partner or best friend?
Yes! We absolutely encourage you to bring along your spouse if he or she wants to come along. We always want to include the people you love in the experience and also draw inspiration from them.Or, if you have a best friend, please feel free to bring that person along.
Can I bring along my own things ?
Yes please. We have various clothing accessories, but you will need to bring your own lingerie and undergarments for hygiene reasons. High heel shoes are always a winner as they make your calves look amazing and give your legs visual length. If you have any items of clothing or things you love, we would be thrilled if you bring that as well. For example, we had a lady bring along her ballet shoes as this was important to her. Another lady bought her Cowboy hat as this was a priceless gift in her life. It is entirely up to you, if you are unsure please do not hesitate in contacting us.
We will cover all this with you in the discovery calls we will have in the lead up, but until then, have a think about it, and we can plan your ideas when we speak.
I do not know how to pose for the camera
Don't worry, we have you covered. We have years of experience with both ladies and men helping them show the absolute best version of themselves. We achieve this with careful lighting and flattering your best features. All you need to do is relax, and we will guide you every step of the way. You will be amazed how good you look.
Do you provide Hair and Makeup?
Yes indeed. It is all part of the experience. We have three super talented hair and makeup ladies who we are lucky to have on call in Leya, Candice and Sam. They come to our studio and do it all just before the boudoir photo shoot. All you need to do is relax and enjoy being pampered.
I want to do my Hair and Makeup is that cool with you?
Of course. We have suggestions about makeup specific to photography and studio lights requirements we will advise you on when we are planning the session.
How much does it cost?
The Thrive Boudoir Experience is individually tailored for each client. Once we speak with you in the discovery calls before the day of the session we will have a better understanding of what it is that makes you uniquely awesome and what it is you want to celebrate. We take into account your home and decor and can make suggestions as to what you would like to display in your home. Once this discovery process is complete we can give you an accurate sense of what you might spend.
How long does the photo shoot take ?
About half a day. Hair and makeup takes 60 -90 minutes depending on how much hair you have. We like to allocate two hours to the photographer for the actual photography session. This can blow out sometimes depending on how many clothing changes we have planned. After the actual photographic experience has finished, approximately 90 minutes is required for us to sort the photos , give you a cinematic presentation on the big screen in our design consultation room and to design any artwork you wish to get. So generally 5 hours or so is required for the complete experience.
I'm a little nervous at the thought of this photography... does everyone feel this way?
Yes yes yes. Completely normal and understandable. I actually have a personal theory that if ladies are nervous before the session we actually get better photos. It means that you are excited and want to do really well and this shows in the photographs. Trust us, you are not alone with these feelings. We will do everything we possibly can to put you at ease plus keep it light and fun.
Do I need to be naked for boudoir photography?
Absolutely not. We will only do this if you specifically request it.
Are you vaccinated?
Yes, all staff are double vaccinated at the time of writing this and will continue with any further vaccination requirements as recommended by QLD Government.
Where is the studio, and can you tell me a bit more about it?
Sure. Our studio is located at 3/101 Brisbane Rd Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. It is a commercial premise's that is air-conditioned and completely private. We have plenty of car parking. The studio is clean and hygienic, we mop and clean all surfaces before every session....Boudoir or otherwise. Also, Thrive Photography is a 100% safe place, and we take genuine pride in the feedback from our clients that they had a great time, plenty of laughs and felt completely comfortable at all times.
